Antique Globe Wernicke 598.5 Barrister Bookcase with Cabinet
Early 1900s, American by the Globe Wernicke Co., Cincinnati OH. Seven stack bookcase, style 598.5 (solid mahogany, medium dark finish, brass bands), including one combo base with drawer, one 10.25" bookcase, three 8.5" bookcases, one sliding door cabinet section and top. Bookcase dimensions are interior height, all bookcases and cabinet are 9.5" deep. Unique features include the leg drawer base and large cabinet section, with adjustable/removable shelves to accomodate taller books or items. Retains original glass, hardware, labels and finish. Overall in good to very good condition, with some honest wear and finish wear throughout. Drawer bottom has been replaced at some point in the past.
