Early 1900s, American, from the Globe/Globe Wernicke Co., Cincinnati OH. Quartersawn oak sectional or stacking file cabinets and barrister bookcase combination. Nine pieces total, starting from the bottom, including leg base, 2 large file sections, 1 wide file section , 1 large index card section, 1 standard file section with paper holders, 1 small index card section, 1 barrister bookcase section, and 1 top. Large file sections include hinged tilting drawer fronts. In overall very good condition, with no common damage to the top. All sides are paneled except for the small file card section. Depth has a double stepback, which is a rare feature. Leg base likely not original, but appropriate in form and function. Original bases in this depth are very hard to find.
