Antique Macey Co. Barrister Bookcase with Drawer Section
Early 1900s, American, from The Fred Macey Co. Ltd., Grand Rapids MI. Classic quarter sawn oak sectional barrister bookcase with rare original 6 drawer section. 7 pieces total including one base with drawer, one 6 drawer section with stepback to one 12" bookcase, two 10" bookcases, one 8" bookcase and top. Bookcase dimensions are interior height, all bookcases are 9.5" deep. In overall very good to excellent condition, including original finish, labels and glass. All original hardware is present including drawer pulls, side bands, door pulls and rare spring loaded retracting doors. Two small wood repairs to lowest bookcase door after door was improperly forced closed.
